Russian first racket Daniil Medvedev declared “Sport-Express” that following four victories in the tournaments of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) secured a good lead in the championship race, but does not plan to refuse to participate in the clay tournaments of the “Masters” series.
Medvedev has won four tournaments since the beginning of the season, including the Masters in Miami (USA), and reached the final at the previous tournament of the series in Indian Wells. The Russian is leading in the championship race ATP, 600 points ahead of world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.
“So far, nothing has changed. I’m going to play all the next “Masters”. I live in Monte Carlo but haven’t played there since 2019. I hope I can play there. Then I plan to perform in Barcelona, Madrid, Rome. All these tournaments are in my plans. Of course, let’s see how my body will feel. I will monitor the situation, but to be honest, I felt great in Miami,” Medvedev said.

Medvedev agreed that he almost guaranteed himself participation in the ATP Finals. “I always want to be among the participants in the ATP Finals. And the higher you are “seeded” there, the better you will end the season, ”added the tennis player.
The next Masters tournament with a prize pool of more than €5.7 million will be held in Monte Carlo from 9 to 16 April. Its winner will receive 1000 rating points.
