Daniil Medvedev expressed hope for his daughter’s smile following the victory in Rotterdam

Daniil Medvedev said that his interview following the semi-finals made his four-month-old daughter smile, and he hopes that she will react the same way to his victory

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev declared following winning the tournament in Rotterdam, that he hopes to bring a smile to his four-month-old daughter with his speech on the court.

Medvedev defeated Italian Yannick Sinner in three sets in the final of the tournament in Rotterdam and will take the eighth line in the world ranking on Monday.

“My wife told me yesterday that when I was giving an interview on the court, she brought my four-month-old daughter to the TV, and she began to smile and laugh, so I hope she does this now,” Medvedev said.

The Russian tennis player also thanked Sinner and his team for the final. “I think you have many years ahead of you to win both this tournament and the Grand Slams. I was very happy to play with you in the final,” Medvedev added.

Medvedev and his wife Daria became parents in October.

On account of the 27-year-old Russian 16 victories in tournaments of the Association of Tennis Professionals.
