Daniela Katzenberger (35) is currently speaking more openly than ever before regarding the effects that life in public has on her mental health. In the latest episode of the podcast «Cat & Cordalis», which she runs with her husband Lucas Cordalis (54), Katzenberger admits that she felt under a lot of pressure, especially at the beginning of her TV career, and was not good at dealing with hate comments. “It was hell for me. If you go following them, you look like a monster, you’re fat like a ton and you have a brain like a sparrow,” said the German.

At the time, she believed that the authors of such hostilities actually hated her. Especially during her pregnancy and shortly following the birth of the now six-year-old Sophia, she was a “single target”. One person is said to have even written to her at the time: “If I were as fat as you, I would kill myself.”

In the podcast episode, it is finally husband Lucas Cordalis who addresses the consequences for Katzenberger’s psyche. “You let things get to you. Luckily I don’t do that. And that’s why you also – am I even allowed to say that? You’ve already had a burnout, »reveals the musician. The “cat” then corrected: “There were even two burnouts.”

“I get cardiac arrhythmia”

She is “just a gut person,” says Daniela Katzenberger in “Katze & Cordalis”. “I take things to heart. I also get cardiac arrhythmias.” When she had the two burnouts and how she managed to overcome the mental illness, the 35-year-old does not reveal in the podcast episode.

In the meantime, however, the cult blonde has found ways to deal with public pressure and not to let hostilities get to her. Just this week you announced that she plans to retire from social media for a while. “Kitten takes a break,” says an Instagram post on the Profil des Reality-TV-Stars. It’s not the first time Katzenberger has taken a social media hiatus.

Daniela likes to spend time in the cemetery

She can also switch off well in the cemetery, Katzenberger explains in the podcast episode: “I’ve never told it before, but if life gets too loud for me, then I really like going to the cemetery.” There you realize that life is too short.

The 35-year-old and her husband not only give intimate insights of this kind in “Katze & Cordalis”, but also in their own docu-soap “Daniela Katzenberger – Familienglück auf Mallorca” for several years. The German cult blonde originally became known through her participation in the Vox emigrant show “Goodbye Germany! The emigrants”. Before breaking into the public eye, she trained as a beautician and worked as a waitress.
