The former deputy of Patriot Party, Daniela Beltranenawho is linked to process in the Cooptation of the State casewas awarded a permission to leave Guatemala.
This Friday, February 11, a hearing was held at the High Risk Court Bin charge of Miguel Angel Galvezwhere Beltranena requested a permit to travel to the United States so that your son can receive medical treatment.
Beltranena had benefited from house arrest from 2021when his defense argued that was at risk of contracting coronavirus.
The judge’s ruling came despite a request from the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Impunity (Feci) so that the former deputy did not receive the benefit, since she presented photographs showing that she was met with some officials.
Gálvez indicated that the release was granted for a humanitarian measureconsidering the pandemic.
On this occasion, Judge Gálvez argued that Beltranena’s request is part of the guarantees that every person has and indicated that it is a valid permit so that the child get the attention necessary.
The Feci did not expose opposition some for Beltranena to receive the requested benefit.
In addition, Beltraneja’s defense requested Galvez proof of permission to attach to an application to be addressed to the Embassy of the United States in Guatemalasince it was detailed that received the minor’s travel visabut not their parents.

Convicted in RIC case
In addition to the process that Beltranena faces for the Cooptation of the State caseon October 2, 2019 was sentenced to three years in prison switchable by case Registry of Cadastral Information (RIC): Payment Box.
