Daniel Ricciardo is leaving Red Bull

Today, Red Bull officially announced what everyone could practically be sure of: the Singapore Grand Prix was Daniel Ricciardo’s last race in the colors of one of the energy drink manufacturer’s F1 teams.

After the Singapore Grand Prix, Red Bull did not comment on the reports that it could be Daniel Ricciardo’s last race with the bulls, four days later on social media, Ricciardo finally announced that he would leave the energy company. In the post titled “Thank you Daniel”, RB team principal Laurent Mekies thanked Ricciardo on behalf of the team members for his hard work and for the Australian’s conduct as a true gentleman on and off the track, adding that although he will be missed, he will always be special will occupy a place in the Red Bull family.

Not long after, RB in another post he also confirmed what could have been guessed, i.e. that Liam Lawson, who already replaced Ricciardo last year, will be the successor of the eight-time race winner, and from the US Grand Prix he will occupy the other side of the garage alongside Júki Cunoda.

It could have been nicer – Ricciardo didn’t deserve that from Red Bull
