Daniel Mananta is back to being the talk of the town. The 41-year-old presenter admitted that he had read the holy Koran, Mother.
This confession was made by Daniel Mananta in a broadcast podcast. At that time, he was discussing with M. Quraish Shihab.
Daniel, who suddenly made this confession, admitted that he was curious regarding the reasons for Quraish Shihab, who was also said to have read the Bible.
Quraish Shihab then explained that there is no prohibition for someone to read the holy book of another religion, Mother.
Nevertheless, Quraish Shihab continues to emphasize that we continue to make the holy books of each religion a priority.
In his confession, Daniel mentioned that he had read the Holy Qur’an in English translation. The artist of Chinese descent has even read half of the Koran.
“I myself have actually tried to read the Koran as well. Yes, half of it, but in English. I don’t understand Arabic,” said Daniel to Quraish Shihab in a broadcast podcast quoted on Monday (10/7).
“There is no problem,” said M. Quraish Shihab.
On that occasion, Daniel Mananta also explained his reasons for reading the English translation of the Koran.
Daniel Mananta admitted that he was amazed by a number of his friends who embraced Islam, Bunda. Daniel admitted, he was so touched by their attitude.
“Because I feel that there are many Muslim people I know, their hearts are very peaceful. I really like them, I chat with them,” said Daniel.
“And I want to know what are the teachings that made them like this, to be someone I like. That’s where I actually started to find out regarding the Koran myself,” he explained.
