Veteran Brazilian full-back Dani Alves announced his departure from Barcelona for the second time following returning to it last year.
Alves, 39, returned to defend the Catalan club’s colors last November at the request of coach Xavi, with a short-term contract until the end of last season.
Alfish revealed that he would not renew his contract for an additional season, and said on his Instagram account, “I would like to thank all the club’s staff for the opportunity they gave me to return to this club and wear his shirt once more, you do not know how happy I am.”
Alfish played 408 games for Barcelona in two periods, the first from 2008 to 2016, when the team lived a golden era by winning the Spanish League title 6 times, the European Champions League 3 times and the Spanish Cup 4 times.
Alfish is still defending the colors of the Brazilian national team and has played the last two friendly matches once morest Japan and South Korea this month and is expected to be part of the official squad that will participate in the World Cup in Qatar, scheduled from November 21 to December 18 next.
