Lipovoye Lake and Voinovsky Pond in Tyumen turned out to be dangerous for human health and, together with five other reservoirs, are not intended for swimming. The results of checking local reservoirs for safety were told to a URA.RU correspondent in the department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Tyumen region.
“Seven water samples of water bodies were examined for compliance with SanPin within the framework of monitoring. According to microbiological, virological and parasitological indicators, they corresponded to the norms. In terms of sanitary and chemical indicators, Lipovoe Lake and Voinovsky Pond did not correspond, where the maximum permissible concentration for chemical oxygen consumption was exceeded, ”the regional department told URA.RU.
They noted that in addition to those indicated above, the check touched on the lakes Krugloye, Tsimlyanskoye and ponds Yuzhny, Utiny, Plekhanovsky. Their water sample indicators turned out to be normal, however, due to the lack of a request from business entities or municipalities, Rospotrebnadzor cannot issue a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion for permission to rest in these places.
The department also reminded that when swimming in a reservoir that is not intended for this, there are risks of contracting an infection. Among them are dysentery, enterovirus infections, helminthic infestations, leptospirosis and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that Rospotrebnadzor for the Tyumen region called safe swimming areas. The list of 11 reservoirs includes the water areas of sanatoriums, recreation centers and children’s camps.
