“Dangerous climate” – The Weather

It happened again. Yesterday around fifty people attending the mosque in Viale Jenner (Milan) surrounded and attacked Klaus Davi, who was carrying out a series of interviews and reports on the upcoming American elections and the orientation of the Islamic world on the topic. According to what the journalist and mass media expert himself reported, he was joined by a group of Arabs, who pushed him on the street and attempted to steal his tape recorder. Having managed to free himself, he then took refuge in a bar near the place of worship, where the men chased him inside the place and ordered him to hand over the camera and microphone to them. A few minutes after a heated confrontation between the journalist and the mosque goers in the presence of numerous witnesses, three Digos agents (not alerted by Davi who was busy avoiding the worst) entered the business, picked him up and loaded him in a hurry in the car and escorted to his home.

“I express my full solidarity with Klaus Davi, victim of an unacceptable attack outside the Viale Jenner mosque while carrying out his work as a journalist. This episode, which already occurred last June in the same place, is yet another demonstration of a climate dangerous that hovers around that mosque, highlighting an explosive situation linked to Islamic places of worship in Milan”, declared the deputy of Fratelli d’Italia, vice president of the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the Chamber and former deputy mayor of the Milanese centre-right councils, Riccardo De Corato.

Nothing but peaceful demonstrators for Palestine: 197 officers injured in one year

“It is absurd that a person who carries out his job is attacked both verbally and physically without having done anything at sea or having harmed anyone. Furthermore, in Milan alone – underlined De Corato -, there are 12 abusive mosques often frequented by violent people and aggressive, who think they can do what they want always and in any case! A fixed presence of soldiers, police or carabinieri is necessary to guarantee public safety and prevent further accidents”. “I also ask for an urgent verification to ensure that the mosque respects the technical requirements – such as the usability and conformity of the spaces – to accommodate hundreds of people during Friday prayers. We cannot tolerate gray areas in terms of safety and legality”, he added.
