This announcement came on the same day that the Cowboys announced they were letting go of six assistant coaches in Mike McCarthy’s staff, four days following the team’s loss in the Divisional Round of the playoffs once morest the 49ers.
Kellen Moore’s future with the Cowboys in uncertain
Kellen Moorethe offensive coordinator for the Cowboys, was a top candidate to land the Carolina Panthers job, which ultimately was landed by Frank Reich earlier today.
A report by Ian Rapoport expressed that his interview process with the different franchises that were and are still looking to fill their head coaching position had been great for Kellen Moore, making him a candidate in all future head coaching searchs.
But his future with the Dallas Cowboys isn’t secured, as head coach Mike McCarthy wouldn’t guarantee that Moore would return to the Cowboys if he isn’t hired for a head coaching position.
