With the Blazers deciding to go with Scoot Henderson as their third draft pick, there are growing questions regarding Damian Lillard’s future with the Blazers.
Currently passing through Paris, Damian Lillard is taking advantage of his French getaway to have a good time. But he is not immune to controversy.
In the middle of the evening, while Dame was filming herself on Instagram Live, the DJ added Will Smith’s famous “Miami” sound to her playlist. It was enough to reboost the rumors concerning a potential transfer from Lillard to the Heat, he who had already expressed his affinity for the Florida franchise two weeks ago.

It got big enough for his agent to issue a press release straight away (via The Athletic).
“Music is just a coincidence. Damian is not disrespectful. He is not a provocateur. He’s not going to do anything that doesn’t look like him. He has no reason to do this. That’s why he laughs in the video. It’s a funny coincidence that a DJ puts this sound on.”
Not one to come forward to this kind of practice to try to send messages, Damian Lillard probably did not premeditate anything. On the other hand, the scenario of a transfer request (to Miami or elsewhere) has perhaps never been so close to materializing.
With the selection of Scoot Henderson in the draft, the Blazers seem to be heading in a direction that goes once morest Lillard’s wishes.
