Now the new top scorer in Blazers history, Damian Lillard has further solidified his legacy in Portland. To celebrate, nothing better than to make a big mixtape of his best baskets with the Blazers. Spoiler, it’s only 26 minutes…
26 minutes of strings, missiles from the parking lot, clutch shoots, inspired lay-ups and even stylish dunks. Over the span of a decade, Dame DOLLA has gifted Blazers fans with dozens of feats, thrilling an audience that has quickly become hers. “RIP CITYYYYYYYYY!” he shouted into the microphone following his first buzzer beater in the Playoffs once morest the Rockets, an action that we inevitably find in this best-of. We obviously also find his second buzzer once morest the Thunder to end the series in 2019, when he planted a “bad shot” on the head of Paul George before sending a bye-bye to the Oklahoma City bench. Alala the shivers.
The 26-minute best-of by Damian Lillard, it’s this way
With 6,408 baskets scored for 19,684 points scored (regular season + playoffs) in total in a Portland uniform, Lillard is now the greatest offensive player in the history of the Blazers, at least in terms of numbers. He just passed Clyde Drexler to become the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and something tells us he’s not going to stop there.
Missing more than an NBA title, and Dame can then consider herself the best player in Blazers history.
A small bonus
Clutch shots.
Unlimited range.
Athletic finishes.
Unreal heat checks.
Classic moment following classic moment. This journey in Portland has been an honor for us all to watch… congrats on history, @Dame_Lillard!
