The Blaugrana club itself announced with an official note that the 18-year-old winger, a talent from the Catalan youth team, will be included in the roster available to coach Joan Pannaroya for the championship and Euroleague for 2024-25. Born on June 4, 2006 in Oderzo, where his family settled a couple of decades ago from Senegal, for two seasons he has worn the colors of the prestigious Spanish club. After having trained from a basketball point of view in the local Oderzo club from 6 to 13 years old and after three years with Orange Bassano, in the summer of 2022 Dame arrived at La Masia, the equally famous youth sector of the Catalans (who noticed him at a tournament in the city of Bassano, after having grown 20 centimeters that year). In 2022-23 he was the second youngest ever to debut with Barcelona in Liga Endesa Acb: on January 22, 2023, for 24 seconds, against Bilbao, at 16 years and 7 months of age (the record belongs to Eric Villa, one month younger, in 2014-15). In total, in the top Iberian championship the Italian has played 5 games so far, with 11′ and 13 points overall. Last November 3 he also made his debut in the Euroleague in the match against Panathinaikos and later also took the field against Zalgiris. With Barca B he produced 17.8 points and 5 rebounds on average in Eba, the fourth Spanish division. Just over a month ago he was a protagonist with the Italian national team at the U18 European Championship in Tampere, Finland. The Azzurri finished in 9th place, Sarr led his team in points (13.4 on average) and assists (4.7), as well as second in rebounds (6.3), noting himself for the triple double against Israel (18 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists) and for the 6 points in the final 16″ with which he led Italy to victory in the last match against Greece.
