Firefighters from several barracks in the Liège region were mobilized on Sunday morning due to damage caused by strong gusts of wind.

A roof covered with roofing has partially lifted in the rue du Pairay, in Seraing. The Liège firefighters were called to intervene there on Sunday shortly following 9:00 a.m.

Some roads also had to be cleared of wind-blown branches. The Meuse firefighters in the Hesbaye Meuse Condroz area also reported a few similar interventions. On the territory of the Hesbaye area, teams deployed in the entities of Braives and Donceel where tree branches also obstruct roads.

The Batte market rebounds on a voluntary basis

The city of Liège also contacted the merchants of the Batte market this Sunday morning. She advises them to secure their stalls and invites those who do not have the opportunity not to take part in the market, on a voluntary basis.

The Batte market is nevertheless still maintained this Sunday.
