Hundreds of people were evacuated and nine people were killed in a mass shooting at a shopping mall in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday afternoon.

CNN and others reported on the 6th (local time), “The first gunshot was heard at around 3:36 pm at a premium outlet in Allen near Dallas, and the police officer shot and killed the suspect after a skirmish.” It is known that it was a single crime with no accomplices. According to eyewitnesses, the gunman got out of the silver car and opened fire on people indiscriminately. Seven people died at the scene, and two more died out of nine people transported to the hospital. The ages of the injured were said to be between 5 and 61 years old. Witnesses told the Associated Press that they saw multiple victims, including children, and that police officers and mall security guards were also seen lying unconscious.

It is known that there were several bodies covered with white cloth all over the aisles of the actual mall. One eyewitness told CNN, “I saw the windows of the store were broken and the door was covered in blood.” On social media, a video of the shooter’s shooting spree recorded a total of 30 to 40 gunshots. The shopping mall is so large that it has about 120 stores alone.

Meanwhile, the Office of Education in Flint, Michigan, became the first in the United States to ban students from carrying backpacks to school. The purpose is to prevent bringing firearms into schools.
