A WTF exchange has taken place between Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Texan artist Preston Pannek following a Dallas mural of Luka Doncic was revealed.
A fresco that is not to everyone’s taste. Preston Pannek, painter unveiled his new creation in Dallas. On a wall in the Deep Ellum neighborhood is a piece of artwork regarding Luka Doncic, surrounded by his craziest lines of stats, and holding a sign above him that reads: “Please send help” (“s’ please send help”). If the fresco is laughable at first sight, it does not find favor in the eyes of everyone, especially for Mark Cuban, the owner of the Mavericks, who did not hesitate to contact the artist by email.
“It’s disrespectful, but it’s your choice to do what you want. If that’s the way you want to be a fan, go for it. You have talent, I appreciate your works but that does not justify everything.
Mark Cuban emailed the artist of this mural to tell him that the mural was ‘disrespectful’

Preston Pannek had for his part explained that he did not want to attack the front office of the Mavs, but only pay homage to Luka Doncic and send a message as a fan of the franchise.
“I’ve been a Mavericks fan for a long time. My work was not disrespectful to anyone. I know Luka is a generational talent, one of the best in the world, but he needs a little help. I did this work just to motivate the organization to do this. I’m not the first person to say that.”
For once, the artist is not wrong and even if Mark Cuban does not want to admit it, Luka Doncic really lacks help. If the Slovenian has a sick season (nearly 34 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists on average) and is an MVP candidate, it is true that the Mavericks have never been able to impose themselves when their leader was not there, proof of a dependence Luka difficult to hide.
In any case for Preston Pannek, Spencer Dinwiddie, Tim Hardaway Jr. and company do not have the shoulders wide enough to win Dallas. Not sure that it will move the front office so far at the next Trade Deadline.
