Dallas and Kansas City qualify for the playoffs – Sports

Washington. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as his Kansas City Chiefs earned their eighth straight NFL playoff berth.

Jerick McKinnon’s 26-yard touchdown run in overtime gave Kansas City a 30-24 victory in Houston over the Texans for the seventh straight AFC West title.

Mahomes finished the game with 336 yards without an interception and sparked a second-half comeback.

The Chiefs (11-3) joined Philadelphia, San Francisco, Buffalo and Minnesota with clinched playoff tickets, which was also joined by the Dallas Cowboys despite a 34-40 loss to Jacksonville, although the pass was received by the night with the Giants’ 20-12 win over Washington.

Meanwhile, NL North leader Philadelphia improved its league record to 13-1 with a 25-20 win over Chicago.

Bears offensive lineman Teven Jenkins was taken to the hospital with a neck injury following he was injured in the first quarter.

“I was receptive. We might see him move his hands,” coach Matt Eberflus said. “Again, I don’t know much beyond that. They only told me that it was encouraging. It is all I have of information from the medical staff for now ”.

New Orleans outscored visiting Atlanta 21-18, while Pittsburgh beat Carolina 24-16 in matchups of clubs with losing records.
