The president of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG) party broke the silence this weekend on his return to Guinea, announced a few days ago by the national leadership of his party. Visibly tired of remaining in exile, Cellou Dalein Diallo announces that he will soon return to his country.
Even if the former Prime Minister has given no date for his return, he still calls on his supporters to remain mobilized.
“Since we announced my return, some are reassured, others worried, but that’s life. I have to go back to my country because I haven’t done anything that might justify my fleeing. I’ll make arrangements to go home. I don’t have to stay out forever.”
During a meeting he moderated in Brussels, the leader of the UFDG reassures that victory is not far away. Despite the obstacles that stand before him, he invites his militants to continue the fight for his accession to power.
“Those who are worried, don’t be. God is great, we are on the right path to access Power. And to access Power you have to come and fight on the ground, and I will do it with you and with your support. When the time comes, you will be informed. For the moment I can’t give you a date, but it’s sure that I have to go back. We understood that there are people in Guinea who do not want democracy. We have come to a time where we have to move forward regardless of the obstacles”.
Cellou Dalein Diallo warns that he will not accept this time the confiscation of the votes of the ballot boxes and the deprivation of the rights of citizens. “There are people who are determined not to respect the votes of the ballot box, we did not want to remain in opposition, but if people continue to have this will naturally we will face them face to face, so it is out of the question. that we submit to the dictatorship and the violation of our rights permanently. And for that you have to have the spirit of sacrifice and be convinced that your president has it, ”concluded Dalein.
