The Dakar Plateau police have completed their investigation into the death of Baidy Amar, son of the late Ameth Amar, which occurred in an apartment in downtown Dakar. According to the type of death certificate issued by the Principal Hospital of Dakar, the death of Baidy Amar was caused by “intoxication by an excess dose of cocaine”. D, of Algerian nationality, in a room where the party went wrong due to excessive drug consumption, leading to a fatal crisis for Baidy.

The friends present at the time of the tragedy, identified as MD (Algerian), ZF, JM (French) and the driver AS, tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate Baidy before taking her to the Principal Hospital in Dakar, where she died. been officially noted. The investigation also revealed that the cocaine had been delivered to AS, the driver, by a courier. AS told investigators that he did not know the contents of the bag that had been given to him.

The autopsy confirmed that Baidy Amar died of “cardiopulmonary arrest probably due to intoxication by excess inhaled dose”. Following these discoveries, MD, ZF, JM, and AS are now being prosecuted for “drug use” and must appear before the Dakar public prosecutor’s office to answer for their actions.
