Daily Camps is a camp where you will learn more regarding diabetes from the hands of health professionals.
The Daily Camps is a program created by the Puerto Rican Diabetes Association, which seeks to empower patients in diabetes self-care.
This educational system is available in three modalities, in person, which takes place three times a year, where the patient can attend the workshops offered by the program for one day.

They also work it out virtual through the Zoom platform, to which people connect and work synchronously in each of these workshops.
The third option is available online, where people work from the comfort of their home, which has the advantage of being able to pause, fast forward and repeat the workshops.
For her part, Lcda. Adia Aponte, Coordinator of Communication and Health Education Services of the Puerto Rican Diabetes Association, comments that thanks to this modality, patients can take it from different parts of the world.
“We work on several modules, among which we deal with strategies for managing the condition, the importance of medication adherence, the importance of physical activity, the diabetes and healthy nutrition and how to live with diabetes” commented Ms. Aponte.
On the other hand, the main objective of this initiative is to empower patients regarding their condition, through education, achieving reflection on self-care, to achieve control of the condition.
