DAF Caminhões is accepting applications for the 2023 Young Apprentice Program
DAF Caminhões Brasil, in partnership with SENAI (National Industrial Learning Service) in Ponta Grossa (PR), has vacancies for the Young Apprentice Program. An opportunity for professional training and technical qualification for anyone aged between 18 and 22 who wants to get their first job at one of the largest truck manufacturers in the world. To participate, you must reside in Ponta Grossa or close to the city, have completed high school and be available during the day to participate in the program in person.

“In its workforce today, DAF has professionals who started their careers in previous editions of the Program and who evolved in the company. The Young Apprentice has developed future professionals in the administrative and production areas with a retention level of up to 80%. The expectation is to absorb as many professionals as possible, following the company’s growth in the Brazilian market and the global guidelines for valuing people and the community”, explains Jeanette Jacinto, Director of Human Resources at DAF Caminhões Brasil.
About the DAF Trucks young apprentice program
Participants will have an eight-hour daily routine divided into two shifts between theoretical classes at SENAI, ranging from Planning, Work Organization to Corporate Communication, and practical classes at the DAF factory. In the total of 18 months of the Program there will be 1,600 hours of learning. Upon completion of the course, the young apprentice receives a certificate of professional qualification.
The modules taught by SENAI have a total workload of 480 hours and address issues of Citizenship and Ethics, Health and Safety; Work Planning and Organization; Rights of the Law; Business Communication; Quantitative Data Processing and Management; Logical Reasoning and Data Analysis; Financial Administrative Processes and Commercial and Production Administrative Processes. With all subjects, students will have access to a broad and robust learning program.
job rotation activities
Although this opportunity is aimed at the company’s administrative area, young people will be able to learn regarding all DAF departments through the Job Rotation initiative. There will be three months of permanence in six areas: Marketing, Information Technology, Purchasing, Product Development, Human Resources, Logistics and PACCAR Parts. At the end of each phase, an individual assessment is carried out that considers the youth’s performance in a team, organization, behavior, service, posture, commitment, learning, attention to detail, ability to comply with instructions and processes, and communication.
Registration until the 20th
Applications for the DAF Caminhões Young Apprentice Program run until April 20th and can be made at SENAI in Ponta Grossa (Rua Joaquim de Paula Xavier, 1050, Estrela) from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm, from 2 pm to 5 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm; and on Saturday, from 9 am to 12 pm. For registration, interested parties must submit copies of the following documents: RG and CPF, proof of residence, school history, birth certificate, mother’s CPF and RG, and also the updated curriculum.
