The men’s division successfully won three age group team championships and defeated La Salle College with 299 points to defend the title; the women’s division won the gold medal in the final C Grade 4×400m relay to achieve the Grand Slam, completing the women’s division’s 15th consecutive championship. The finale relay event also set three new records, which were set by the men’s draw, the women’s draw and Heep Yunn Secondary School. Among them, the men’s B Grade relay team broke the 4×100-meter record that had been dusty for 9 years.

The Hong Kong-Kowloon School Athletics Competition resumed following two sessions last year. At that time, the schedule was reduced from three days to two days. This year, it returned to three competition days. The men who regained the championship last year already had a 93.5-point advantage following finishing the next day’s competition. Shakeri further expanded the gap, and finally defeated La Salle College by more than 100 points in both men’s A and B Grades to win the championship. , C Grade won the title with a 77-point advantage, with a total score of 587 points in the men’s division, defeating La Salle with a gap of 299 points to achieve the second consecutive championship. Wah Yan College in Kowloon won the third place in the team, and Wah Yan College in Hong Kong beat Kaiping Chamber of Commerce Secondary School in Hong Kong by a slight margin of 2.5 points to win the third place in the group.

The men’s division lost to La Salle in the 2018-2019 school year. The competition was suspended for two sessions due to the epidemic and finally regained the championship in the previous competition. Captain Liang Jianhong praised the performance of the players following successfully defending the title this year: “Everyone performed well today and did their best. In the women’s group, the situation was relatively tight following the next day’s competition. This year, Dewang defeated Xie En to regain the overall runner-up of the group, and the College of the Hong Kong University Alumni Association won the first runner-up of the group.

A total of five new relay records were created in this year’s race, of which three records were broken in Shakeri. The Xie En C Grade relay team ran 48.41 seconds in the 4×100m final, 0.41 seconds ahead of the record set in the preliminary round. The women’s B Grade relay team ran 4:01.97 in the 4×400m preliminary race, pushing the record forward by nearly 6 seconds. Today’s final broke the record and set the time at 3:59.42. In addition, the men’s B Grade 4×100 relay team ran 43.01 in today’s final, pushing 0.72 seconds ahead of the record set by the seniors in the 2012-2013 school year.
