Czesław Michniewicz dismissed from FAR Rabat

Czesław Michniewicz was the coach of the Moroccan team FAR Rabat for only three months. The former coach was even put on a pedestal for a while after the club advanced to the African Champions League. It’s worse at home, where they managed to get eight points in five matches. This was, among other things, the reason for the dismissal of the Polish trainer. It was Michniewicz’s second exotic adventure after the Saudi Abha Club.

Czesław Michniewicz released

For three months, Czesław Michniewicz added considerable success to his already rich coaching CV. Run by a 54-year-old Moroccan FAR Rabat po It took him 17 years to qualify for the African Champions League. It’s all thanks to defeating the Sudanese team Al-Merreikh in two matches.

Since advancing to the CAF Champions League, the Moroccan team has only performed worse. After promotion, the team defeated Meknes in the league 4-0, but it was on September 25. This was the last victory of FAR Rabat under Michniewicz’s leadership. At home, the team performed below expectations, passing a series of five winless matches – three in the league and two in the Excellence Cup. After this period, there was a constant discussion in the local media whether Czesław Michniewicz was the right person for this position. The club said he wasn’t.

The Excellence Cup is open to Botola Pro Division 1 and Division 2 clubs. It is a cup for integrating U23 players with the first team. It is intended to help football players regenerate after the summer and winter holidays and during breaks for FIFA international matches, as well as to increase the annual number of matches and maintain the players’ dynamics during breaks. Michniewicz lost to a team in the relegation zone of the Moroccan Premier League, and then to Yacoub El Mansour – it’s even worse, because it was a second-league team.

The authorities of the Royal Army Club decided to part with the current training staff. The contract was terminated by mutual consent of the parties. The club’s management would like to thank coach Czesław Michniewicz and wish him good luck in his coaching career. The new staff will be announced soon – we read in the official statement of FAR Rabat.

Since Czesław Michniewicz left the Polish national team, he has not had a successful coaching career. He worked at Abha Club for less than four months in 2023. Now the 54-year-old has endured itonly 95 days – and what will happen next? His exotic record includes nine matches on the bench for Abha Club and 13 matches for FAR Rabat.

Michniewicz’s successor is in negotiations

Already last week, there were voices that Michniewicz’s dismissal was in the air, and the club was negotiating with Sébastien Desabr – the 48-year-old French coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo national team, who already has experience in managing African teams. However, the choice may fall on someone else. “Kora Maroc reported that FAR Rabat is talking to Hubert Velud, former trainer of, among others, the national teams of Burkina Faso and Sudan.

Hubert Velud has successfully coached club teams in Africa in the past. He won the Algerian championship twice, and with the African-famous TP Mazembe team, he triumphed not only locally, but also on a wider scale – all by winning the African Confederations Cup and the African Super Cup. In 2013 and 2014, the 65-year-old was voted the best coach in Algeria.

Breaking News: Czesław Michniewicz Hits the Club Exit Faster Than a Winger on a Counterattack!

Well, folks, it seems like Czesław Michniewicz’s stint with the Moroccan side FAR Rabat was shorter than a TikTok video. After just three months at the helm, which, to put in perspective, can barely qualify as a long coffee break for most coaches, he’s been shown the door! But hey, what a rollercoaster ride it must’ve been – one minute he’s a hero for steering the club into the African Champions League, and the next, he’s being unceremoniously booted out for not scoring enough ‘points’ in the league. And no, I’m not talking about Monopoly money!

This 54-year-old Polish tactician’s brief flirtation with Moroccan football was marked by some early love but turned sour faster than fresh milk in the sun. Sure, he managed to help the team qualify for the group stage of the tournament for the first time in 17 years, but it also seems like they forgot how to win after that – which, let’s be honest, is a bit of a misstep for a coach.

The TORO (Total Overhaul and Rapid Obliteration) Method?

So, what happened after the initial thrill of Champions League qualification faded? Well, FAR Rabat went on a glorious winless streak – five matches without a victory! They say miracles happen, but apparently, this team seemed to have misplaced their fairy godmother. Losing to a team in the relegation zone and a second-league outfit in the Excellence Cup? Ouch! That’s like being knocked out in the first round of your own birthday party! And to think he went from coaching the Polish national team to losing to what can only be described as the ‘youth team’ of Moroccan football!

In the world of football, there’s a fine line between a “coaching genius” and a fall guy. And after Michniewicz’s disappointing performance, it’s safe to say he’s found himself in the latter category – like a manager at a failing restaurant who can’t cook! Meanwhile, the club’s management issued a rather polite farewell note, thanking him for his “contributions” while simultaneously wishing him better luck elsewhere. That’s the equivalent of saying, “It’s not you, it’s us” after a bad Tinder date.

But fret not, dear Moroccan football fanatics! The rumour mill is churning at full speed, and whispers of a replacement are swirling. The club is in talks with French coach Hubert Velud – a seasoned veteran with a record that includes lifting trophies like they’re kitchen utensils. This guy has won the Algerian championship twice! If anyone can whip FAR Rabat back into shape, it’s him. No pressure, Hubert, but the last guy left after only 95 days!

To add some spice, there’s also talk of Sébastien Desabr making a move. Someone get the popcorn ready! The only thing more entertaining than the tactical acumen of these potential coaches will be watching which one gets to pick the players’ pre-game playlist!

In Conclusion: The Curious Case of Michniewicz

So what do we take away from Czesław’s Moroccan escapade? Well, failure can be an excellent teacher, although Michniewicz seems to have missed that class. As he dusts off his resume for the next club who might take a chance on him – any bets on him landing a role in a Scandinavian league? He might just need to find a club less harsh on the ol’ win-loss column! After all, at this rate, his coaching career could soon be getting more exotic by the day!

There you have it, folks! Will Michniewicz bounce back, or has he become the punchline in the ever-amusing world of football? Stay tuned!

And remember, in the world of sport, you’re only as good as your last match! Or in Michniewicz’s case, your last 95 days!
