Despite oncoming traffic, a 29-year-old tourist from the Czech Republic overtook a racing cyclist on the B166 from Bad Goisern in the direction of Hallstatt, near the Gosaumühle car park, around noon on Thursday. Due to the heavy traffic, he had to switch back to his lane and grazed the 42-year-old racing cyclist with the rear right half of his vehicle. The athlete fell and came to rest in the meadow next to the road. After emergency medical care, she was taken to the Salzkammergut Klinikum Bad Ischl with serious injuries.
