Mysterious death in Tägerschen TG: A cyclist was found dead in the Thurgau town early on Sunday morning.
As the canton police wrote in a statement, shortly following 5.30 a.m. the report was received that a lifeless cyclist was lying on the ground on Wilerstrasse at the end of the town in the direction of Wil. Despite the immediate use of the rescue service, only death might be determined. The deceased is a 31-year-old Swiss.
The circumstances are being clarified by the cantonal police in Thurgau, and the forensic service came on site to secure evidence. “It is currently completely unclear how the cyclist died. Investigations are going in all directions. A third party cannot be ruled out,” says Daniel Meili from the Thurgau cantonal police at Blick. The deceased was taken to the Institute for Forensic Medicine in St. Gallen to investigate the cause of death. (zis)
