The Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws reveals that Remco Evenepoel has secretly recognized three stages of the next Tour de France in recent days. The Belgian rider does not want to leave anything to chance before his first participation in the Grande Boucle.

But the almost 24-year-old Belgian has never hidden it: he will be at the start of his first Tour de France on June 29 in Florence. The seventh will be the scene of a 25km individual time trial between Nuits-St-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin, while the eighth will link Semur-en-Auxois to Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises over 176km. The Belgian daily specifies that Soudal-Quick Step “does not wish to comment on the results of these explorations”. We will therefore know more in a few days, during the media day in Calpe, Spain, where Remco Evenepoel found his teammates after his French escapade. The Belgian champion must begin his season on February 14 at the Tour of the Algarve in Portugal. He must then take part, unless there is a change in the program, in Paris-Nice, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Critérium du Dauphiné, the Tour de France, and the time trial and road race of the Paris Olympic Games. .
