UAn unfortunate situation arose in the sixth stage of the Criterium del Dauphin on behalf of the runner Sebastian Molanowho was caught by the broadcast cameras while punching Hugo Page, cyclist of the Intermarch team.
The shameful situation arose in the last sections of the descent 8 kilometers from the finish line, apparently they were arguing regarding some race situation and Molano decided to hit him with a fist to the face as they both rode the bike in the peloton.
Fortunately this did not cause an accident.but it did leave a terrible image of sportsmanship with the Colombian cyclist in the eye of the hurricane and the criticism.
This cost him expulsion from the Criterium del Dauphin two stages from the end and maybe there might be an extra penalty from the UCI for the next races on the calendar.

In this stage the Colombian arrived in the seventh box and has not had any important role in the stages for sprinters. Even followingward, he met Page squarely and continued their heated argument.

“The race to the finish was fast and tense and in the heat of the moment I made a dangerous mistake… I would like to apologize to Hugo Page and all the riders for what happened.”
“I understand why I was disqualified and I can only say that I am sorry and learn from it,” he told the media following finishing the stage.
