Pouring (pm). Since April of this year, many children have taken advantage of the city of Giessen’s offer to use the traffic training area in the western part of the city outside of school hours. It wasn’t just about learning to ride a bike itself, but about applying it in everyday traffic. The facility is well equipped with traffic lights, signs and a roundabout, allowing you to get used to road traffic safely and as realistically as possible.
Many families with their children aged up to 11 were able to gain experience in road traffic in a protected space.
Parents and their children can try out driving there on just two more dates: Next Saturday, September 28th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, October 12, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The address is: Krofdorfer Straße 117, 35398 Gießen (Weststadt).
To use it, you will need to bring your own roadworthy bicycle and a bicycle helmet. In addition, parents or an adult accompanying person are responsible for supervision. No prior registration is required. Depending on the weather, the facility may be closed.
