During this Saturday -May 13- the 106th edition of the Giro d’Italia continues its course, for this fraction it will be another long day that will be made up of 207 kilometers. The race will start in Terni and will arrive at Fossombrone, with the hope that the Colombians Rigoberto Urán and Santiago Buitrago can get into the definition.

Although it is not such a demanding route, it will be a constant ascent that might end up ‘breaking’ the legs of the competitors. Just at the start around kilometer 10, there is a climb that will not let a leak escape as it usually happens, the runners will be focused on reaching the port and not wasting time.

After this, a long route that combines the plane and some mountain will extend until kilometer 155, when I Cappuccini appears, a fourth category ascent, short, but too demanding. Going down immediately will be the most demanding climb of the day, Monte delle Cesane, classified as second category.

Once past this important transit where differences can be made, a map will be the last benevolent step for the runners, because towards kilometer 200 there will be the I Cappuccini once more, which will be the last climb to end up reaching Fossombrone where only the favorites might be arriving in good time.

6:54 A.M. 13 riders maintain a solid breakaway, marching more than four minutes ahead of the main group.

6:02 A.M. In the intermediate sprint through Foligno, Mads Pedersen and Jonathan Milan disputed the points. The winner was the Italian runner.

5:27 A.M. With the leaders of the different classifications in front, stage 8 began in Giro 106.
