The Cofidis team has announced the first two new members of the women’s team for next season, including Iséroise Marion Borras. The cyclist from Ponchara thus left the Norman team Saint-Michel-Mavic-Auber 93 and Dane Amalie Dideriksen (Uno-X Mobility).

The Normandy team saw the 26-year-old depart as the team was put in jeopardy after one of its sponsors left. Borras competed with the French track cycling team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but he failed to win a medal at the Saint-Quentin-Yvelines circuit, where the track events are held. She and teammate Clara Copponi finished fifth in the team pursuit and the U.S. race.

“As comfortable on a velodrome track as in a time trial”, as her new team puts it, Iserovac has signed with the Cofidis team for the next two seasons. She finished third at the last French Time Attack Championship. “For eight years Marion has been mainly focused on competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics and from now on she wants to focus more on the road under the new colours.

Her big goal next year is to shine in the time trials, especially at the national championships,” explained Cofidis sporting director Mélanie Briot. “Furthermore, we believe that due to her huge potential she can become an important part of the sprint team, especially in a duo with Valentin Fortin (another Iserovar native) with whom she is very familiar. group,” she said.

This new adventure doesn’t mean the end of track cycling. “In addition to road events, Marion will also participate in track and field events,” Cofidis’ management confirmed. For Marion Boras, a new page is turning in the world of professional cycling.
