Quite an incredible story started by Mauro Schmid, rider of the Soudal Quick-Step team who will join the Jayco-AlUla team next season.

The current manager of Switzerland, Patrick Lefevere, confided in the columns of The newspapaer having lost track of his runner during the season.

“He disappeared from the radar. When coach Koen Pelgrim asked why his data hadn’t loaded into our training program, he said his Garmin was broken. It later turned out that he was on a trip to Las Vegas for six days »said the Belgian leader.

In response to his boss’s statements, Mauro Schmid posted details of his training outing on Strava around… Las Vegas.
