Cybersecurity can be outsourced | Kaspersky Labs GmbH, April 13, 2023

Ingolstadt (ots) Last year, every fifth small company and every third large company in Austria was confronted with more cyber attacks than ever before, yet around 17 percent gave cyber security less priority. It is all the more important to actively strengthen measures to protect against cyber threats.

A lack of resources endangers companies

For organizations, the biggest challenges in a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy are the lack of resources, regulations, and expertise. However, decision makers need up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of global cyber threats and the threat landscape, as well as a dedicated protection solution to maintain their immunity against previously unknown threats.

Strengthen cyber security without additional resources

“The best possible protection to lead your own company into a secure future is offered by the combination of technology that automatically detects and neutralizes cyber threats and external support from experienced cyber security experts. Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solutions combine these two components without having to hire additional employees and the internal IT team can continue to focus on its core tasks,” explains René Bodmer, Head of B2B Switzerland & Austria at Kaspersky.

Outsourcing detection and response can help companies of all sizes to improve detection and defense: MDR solutions offer fast, scalable and turnkey mature IT security functions – even with a lack of internal resources. Various monitoring services, active 24/7 surveillance, real-time transparency of all assets and their protection status as well as threat intelligence provide a clear picture and thus guarantee comprehensive protection against even the most innovative threats. This prevents business disruption and minimizes the potential overall impact of an incident because the response to a cyberattack is directly and fully managed and led by external security experts.

“Today, having a cybersecurity partner that helps decision-makers protect all business-critical assets is no longer a nice-to-have, but a critical factor in business continuity,” concludes Bodmer.
