This update enhances the performance of Ray Tracing on NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards.
Cyberpunk 2077 released the Patch 1.62 update on the evening of April 11, Taiwan time, and this update brings Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode to high-end computers.
In the Patch 1.62 version, Cyberpunk 2077 cooperated with NVIDIA to bring a new ray tracing mode to the game. In this mode called Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode, you can experience complete ray tracing, which is also a path tracing mode called Path-Traced.
The official press release mentioned that maybe Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode will not be perfect, so they classified it into “Technology Preview”, which is “Technology Preview”.
At this stage, Overdrive Mode technology pre-supports NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or above graphics cards (GeForce RTX 4070 means:… ); as for 1080p 30 FPS, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 can also be used… The following tests will let everyone know Know the performance of the current graphics card.
As for other display cards equipped with 8GB VRAM and supporting Ray Tracing, Cyberpunk 2077 also provides the Render Path-Traced screenshot option in Photo Mode. Compared to FPS which renders multiple frames per second, this mode means it only renders one frame.
It should be noted that if the display card level is lower and the resolution is higher, the time required for screenshots will be longer.
