Cyberpunk 2077: Keanu Reeves returns in first expansion

Cyberpunk 2077 has announced its first major expansion that will come to the video game this 2023: ‘Phantom Liberty’.

Through a live broadcast, CD Projekt Reddeveloper of the game, showed the news of what will be this first major update of new content following two years of its eventful launch.

The first trailer for the expansion will arrive on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S (in addition to Stadia) during 2023. PS4 and Xbox One will not have this update.

“Get ready to Phantom Liberty: a spy thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 set in a brand new district of Night City,” it reads.

In the images, the player character, V, takes an oath to “faithfully serve the New United States of America”, while the voice of Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, warns him that this was a bad idea. The actor officially announced that he is returning to bring the character to life.

The exact date and cost of the expansion, which seeks to regain the player’s confidence following the failed launch due to errors and bugs, is not known.

Besides that ‘Phantom Liberty’ will not reach your systems, PS4 and Xbox One will have the last update of the game to patch 1.6 Also called Edgerunners for its link to the animated series that will be released on Netflix.

The update introduces wearable items from the anime for Cyberpunk 2077 including the jacket worn by David Martinez, the anime’s protagonist, and a shotgun used by another character on the show.

The update also brings new features to the game, including a clothing transmogrification system, cross-platform progression, and a playable Roach Race mini-game arcade cabinet.
