Cyberpunk 2077 received update 2.0 this week with several improvements and new mechanics for those who have already purchased the game. However, many wonder what has changed in it compared to the original version, which was heavily criticized upon release. Fortunately, today we can see what the graphic differences are in a comparative video.

The video published by the GameBest YouTube channel begins by showing differences when using a motorcycle, as it is now possible to shoot while driving. Additionally, vehicles now suffer visible damage when we shoot at them. Jumping out of a moving car now causes damage in V, whereas nothing did in the original version.

Now speaking of water, update 2.0 has improved the physics when swimming and shooting in lakes. The graphics are now more realistic and several bugs have been removed, although V’s shadow continues to be displayed incorrectly in the water.

V’s reaction to falling into a lake with a car has also changed. In the original version, the character did nothing and the vehicle suffered no damage. With update 2.0 the vehicle breaks down and V shatters the driver’s window to get out and not drown.

Animations when climbing stairs have been improved, as in the original version the character appeared floating if you looked down. NPC reactions have improved and they finally no longer disappear if you look up while on the street. They will run over the V if threatened.

Now speaking of fire, you receive damage if you touch fire in version 2.0, while in the original version V was practically “invulnerable” when approaching something on fire. Grenades have also been improved and now do not burn themselves if the terrain does not have a target.

Police behavior has been improved with display bugs eliminated as some police officers rendered incorrectly.

Speaking of rendering, the distance and resolution of vehicles and NPCs has been improved in version 2.0, so cars and trucks don’t look like little cubes moving on the streets.

Update 2.0 is free for those who already own Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. The Phantom Liberty expansion will be released next week and we have already created a special list of films and series that you should watch before playing it.
