This weekend, the fifth edition of the National Sports Meeting between tourism agencies of Venezuela, Cuyagualand 2024, will be held. More than 50 tourism agencies in the country are expected to participate in this event, scheduled for Saturday, July 13.

The tournament will feature various sports categories including beach volleyball, beach soccer and a land-water scavenger hunt. A new feature for this edition is the addition of the Surfing Competition, called the Cuyagualan Fest Cup. In addition, as part of a greater commitment to the community, local dance groups have been invited to perform the opening of the sporting event.

The Aragua Gorila Team Club will host a fun dance therapy session that will bring together more than 300 people at the start of the festival. After the awards ceremony for the sports competitions, attendees will be able to enjoy a lively night show with the presence of Alex Reed artists and DJs such as Rafavos, Streyko, Chuito, Rancés and Farías.

Regina Merchán, the creator of this event, highlighted the importance of promoting tourism through sport, and that it not only benefits the participating agencies, but also local merchants.

“In a tourist enclave like Cuyagua, where the economy depends on tourism, initiatives that attract visitors and boost commercial activity are key to boosting the development of the region,” said Merchán.

Cuyagua, known for its beauty and safety, is presented as a destination that combines natural attractions, local traditions and a rich gastronomic offer.

Merchán invited everyone to join the Fifth National Sports Meeting 2024 in Cuyagua, an event that not only offers exciting sports competitions, but also the opportunity to appreciate the diversity and tourism potential of the region.
