Horror movie scenes in Benevento, where a 59-year-old man first killed his brother with a knife, then with the same blade he cut off his head and then threw it from the balcony. Finally he called the police to tell them what he had just done. A 59-year-old man from Pannarano, in the province of Benevento, ended up in handcuffs last night. The victim was 65 years old.

The crime took place in an apartment and apparently occurred at the height of an argument between the two brothers. When they arrived, the Montesarchio Carabinieri convinced the man to open the door and took him to the barracks for questioning. According to an initial reconstruction, the Carabinieri found the lifeless body of the 65-year-old, with numerous stab wounds and decapitated. The head had been thrown out of the window. The 59-year-old brother turned himself in without resistance, was stopped and questioned all night, before being transferred to the Benevento prison on charges of aggravated homicide. The two brothers lived together in that family home. Investigations are underway to reconstruct the motive.
