Cut ending found in original Portal files | Games

Dataminers found in files Portal an additional level that was originally supposed to lead to the end of the game. The cut content was dismantled by a blogger from the Richter Overtime YouTube channel.

Initially, the game was supposed to end a level earlier than in the release version. The player had to defeat Glados with the help of turrets, following which a crack formed in one of the walls of the location, into which one might teleport. This transported the hero into a mysterious tunnel, at the exit of which he fell into Xen, a border dimension from the original Half-Life, which was used by Black Mesa agents for teleportation. After that, the game ended.

The first part of Portal was released in 2007 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In 2017, beta version files of the game appeared on the network – it was there that dataminers discovered a new level and ending.
