And she added, “The director held an extensive meeting with the director of the customs police, the director of the Umm Qasr al-Shamali port, and the directors of the center’s departments, and issued a number of directives, the most important of which are:
● Completion of all exemption transactions as quickly as possible.
● Achieving the clearance of hazardous chemicals at a high speed and smoothness.
● Assigning the Deputy Director General to supervise and follow up all customs exemptions.
● Activation of Cabinet Resolution No. (65) for the year 2022 and its proper implementation by the customs police regarding the customs guard.
● Continue working hours on Friday and Saturday to end the issue of customs exemptions.
While the Commission emphasized that the Director General praised “the exceptional effort made by the employees of the General Authority for Customs in the customs centers and their contribution to the increase in the financial revenues that supply the state’s public treasury.”
