Assumption, IP.- The National Customs Directorate (DNA) closed the first month of the year with a new monthly collection surplus and historical income record, according to data from the institution’s Sofia Computer System.
The collection for January of this year rose to 627,793,965,546 guaraníes, which was 21,707 million more than January of last year, in which it reached 606,086,862,563.
The value reached in this first month of the year also represents the highest level of income reached in January, in customs history, compared to the collections of a similar month in recent years.
The significant improvement in the DNA’s collection capacity, despite the multiple setbacks and emerging contingency situations, is evident in the 16 months of monthly surplus recorded since September 2013.
Customs closed with an annual surplus in 2014, with a record accumulated value of 8 billion 61,396 million guaraníes, which represents an increase of 10.41 percent compared to the previous year, in which it reached a total of 7 billion 301,086 million of guaraníes.
