Customers film Apple Store being robbed in California

Imagine that you are in a Apple Store and all of a sudden masked and hooded people come in and start pulling out the theft deterrent iPhones. A frightening scene, isn’t it? And it was through her that some passed in Sacramento, California (United States).

The most peculiar thing regarding the situation is that some of those present filmed the action taking place, as we can see in the record below, published on Twitter. It is possible to see the perpetrators of the crime walking through the store and taking exposed iPhones for demonstration.

Society is so warped that employees in California are basically trained to help steal tens of thousands of dollars worth of product displayed right in front of them (note they hold customers), with everyone just sitting idly by and watching.

According to the ABC7, eight people were arrested and charged by the California Attorney General with conspiracy, in addition to conspiracy and robbery. The accused were also accused of having committed several other robberies between August 2022 and January 2023, causing losses of more than $1 million no total.

According to the California prosecutor’s office (a role played by state prosecutors in Brazil), there was a scheme aimed at robbing stores and holding customers so that they might not do anything while the action was taking place. Thefts took place in locations such as Orange, San Bernardino, San Diego, Riverside, Yolo, Monterey, Alameda, Santa Clara, Against Coast e Marin.

I hope this fad doesn’t catch on in Brazil, right?
