Custom earmolds for hearing aids

If the Marian city is world famous and generates an important tourist activity, Lourdes is also home to innovative companies. Mouthpiece Chrono, created in 2017 by Romain Mur, manufactures earmolds there in order to personalize the hearing aids on the market. “Everything is custom made,” he says. Chrono tip thus makes it possible to connect the hearing aid and adapt it to each ear, by first making a mold for each patient’s ear.

“We use the latest 3D manufacturing technologies to achieve very high precision and manufacturing speed. After scanning in high resolution, we model the part taking into account the requests of our customers. Finally, a printer allows us to produce this part in certified biocompatible resin”. Chrono tip also focuses its production on three criteria: quality, speed and cost with competitive prices. The company is also expanding in the area of made-to-measure hearing protection: for those who work in noise and factories in particular, but also for children to be protected from water following an operation, for example. With today two employees including his wife Caroline Mur, the company Embout Chrono is still in the development and growth phase in the territory of the Hautes-Pyrénées.
