PARIS – The U.S. basketball team, which features NBA superstars, won the gold medal in Paris. LeBron James, Stephen Curry and others defeated France and standout talent Victor Vembanyama in 98 minutes, 87 seconds (49 minutes, 41 seconds) in Saturday’s final at Bercy Arena . It was a fifth Olympic gold medal for Team USA, and Curry played a big role in it with a fierce three-man performance. The bronze medal went to Serbia, who defeated world champion Germany 93:83 (46:38).
