ON THE 220 SOLES BONUS FOR TEACHERS AND ASSISTANTS IN PERU
To benefit both financially and professionally, teachers, professors, and professionals in the Public Teaching Career (CPM) who support teachers in their formative and disciplinary activities, the Minedu and Sutep have agreed to provide them with a bonus of 220 soles in 2023.
According to the Peruvian State’s single platform, based on a dialogue between the two parties and the collective bargaining agreement 2023-2024, more than half a million appointed and contracted teachers nationwide will receive this new bonus. The aim is to ensure the continuity of school classes throughout the country, free education, and the existence of public schools.
Additionally, the 220 soles will be directed toward teachers in schools managed by the Ministry of Defense and teachers working in basic education institutions. These teachers will also receive an additional bonus of 380 soles during the first quarter of 2024.
The payment of the bonus for teachers starting next year will be managed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). The 220 soles will be reflected in beneficiaries’ bank accounts in a specific month of 2023.
