Al-Zaini indicated, during statements to “Sada Al-Balad”, that the Ministry of Agriculture was putting obstacles in the way of exporting fish feed despite the existence of huge export opportunities to South Africa. On the other hand, we need hard currency, so the necessary facilities must be provided for the export of feed.

The Vice President of the Poultry Producers Union explained that despite the low prices of feed, they are still high compared to other countries, as a ton of poultry feed in Egypt records regarding $700, while the most expensive feed in the world records $500.

He said that we have competing fish feed raw materials available to us, unlike poultry feed raw materials, so a balance must be achieved between export and import.
