The Government extended, as of January 25, for 10 more days the mandatory social immobilization, better known as curfewof all the people in A lots ofin the midst of the protests and confrontations that are taking place in Peru.
Through a Supreme decree published in an extraordinary edition of the Legal Norms of the newspaper El Peruanothe Executive establishes that the curfew will be in effect from 8 pm to 4 am the following day. He emphasized that the Peruvian National Police, with the support of the Armed Forces, will verify compliance with the provisions.
In addition, it is specified that, during compulsory social immobilization, people can circulate through the roads for public use for the acquisition, production and supply of foodwhich includes its storage and distribution for sale to the public.
“During compulsory social immobilization the strictly necessary personnel who participate in the provision of health services are exceptedmedicines, the continuity of water services, sanitation, agriculture, fishing and aquaculture, transportation, surveillance and security, delivery, restaurants and hotels, assistance, financial services, electricity, gas, fuel, telecommunications and related activities, cleaning and solid waste collection, funeral services, and related activities”, is indicated in the standard.
“During compulsory social immobilization pharmacies and pharmacies are allowed to provide care according to the norm of the matter”, he adds.

“Written, radio or television press personnel may transit during the period of mandatory social immobilization as long as they carry their personal work pass, their respective journalistic credential and their national identity document for identification purposes.
