“Magical Full Moon”, theater and folk and rebetika evenings at the “Cultural Summer of Kalavryta 2024”
The events of the “Cultural Summer 2024” of the Municipality of Kalavryta continue with events in Leivartzi, Kertezi, Kato Lousous, Planetero, Dafni and Kalavryta.
On Friday, at 9.30 pm, party with Spokybeat at Odontotos Station in Kalavryta.
On Saturday, August 17 (10 p.m.) in Cyprus Square (former KTEL) of Kalavryta, a Rebetiki Music evening is organized with Cerce La Band. It is a musical program that revives rebetika and old folk songs, presenting them in the light of the new generation. With Marianna Louma, voice, Yiannis Koukounitsa, bouzouki, Konstantinos Angelopoulos, voice, Vasilis Pallikaris, accordion and Panagiotis Paraskevas, guitar.
The following day, Sunday, August 18, at 9:00 p.m., Cerce La Band will perform in the central square of the Municipal Community of Livartziou with the same program.
Also on Sunday, at 9 pm, in the central square of Kertezis, a Folk Rebetiki evening is organized with Avgerini Gatsis, accordion and singing, Giorgos Zorbas, baglamas and singing, Kostis Kostakis, guitar and singing, Saki Nikoletopoulos, bouzouki and singing and Eva Xenou , song.
“MAGIC FULL MOON”
On Monday, August 19, at 9 p.m. in the courtyard of the Primary School in Kato Lousou, “on a unique evening under the light of the August full moon, we will have the opportunity to observe the Moon with the telescope of the National Observatory of Athens, while Astero Christofidou ( photo) will present us with her guitar arrangements of great songs of Greek music and will take us on a journey”, as stated in the program of the event.
Also, on Monday August 19, at 8.30 in the evening in the central square of Planiteros, the Street Theater Group X- SALTIBAGOS will present the show “Love is…”. A few words about the show: “What is love anyway? Where should one look to find it? A girl and a boy meet and in their silence try to explore and discover the feeling of love.”
On Friday, August 23, in the central square of the Municipal Community of Dafni, a Municipal-People’s Evening is organized, starting at 10 p.m.
