Cubos Academy offers more than 5 thousand IT scholarships

With the purpose of facilitating access to quality education, the Buckets Academy, one of the largest edtechs in Brazil, in partnership with ENGIE Brasil Energia, offers, completely free of charge, more than 5,000 full scholarships for introductory courses in Software Development, UX/UI Design, Data Analysis and Product Management. In addition, another 100 scholarships for further development in these areas will be awarded to program participants.

Registration takes place at site of Cubos Academy, from September 25th to November 27th, and are aimed at people who live in cities in the interior of the following states: Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná , Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo and Tocantins. To enroll in introductory courses, you must have completed high school or be studying. For in-depth courses that are equivalent to a technician, the candidate must be at least 18 years old, have completed high school and must have completed one of the introductory courses.

It is worth noting that it is not necessary to have prior knowledge in the areas of study, as Cubos Academy offers all the support necessary to start studying IT from scratch.

Introductory course classes will be made available on the Cubos On.De platform, in an asynchronous model. In other words, they can be accessed later at a time that is most convenient for students. In addition, interested parties will be able to enroll in one or more available courses.

In addition to introductions to technology, edtech also provides access to special content on soft skills and other skills. The objective is to help participants recognize the expected profile in the tech market. Students will be able to prepare for job interviews and techniques on how to highlight their LinkedIn profile. Upon completion of the courses, certificates of participation will be made available.

For students who will compete for the 100 in-depth scholarships in the desired area, it is necessary to participate in a brief test divided into four parts, namely: logical reasoning, profile creation, situational and motivational that will be applied by human resources specialists.

The in-depth courses have a workload of 600 hours and students can count on live mentoring so that they can have their doubts answered whenever necessary. In addition, edtech provides a team focused on student experience and employability and a channel on the Discord platform for questions and interaction between students.

According to lifting carried out by the Subsecretariat of Statistics and Labor Studies, of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, 5.2 million young people between 14 and 24 years old are unemployed. This was also a concern reported in the Dialogue with Stakeholdersa program structured by ENGIE Brasil Energia and seeks to listen to local communities.

More than six thousand lives impacted by IT education

To date, almost two thousand scholarships have been offered by Cubos Academy in conjunction with partner companies. In 2023 alone, in partnership with iFood, more than a thousand people were able to graduate free of charge from the full Back-end Programming course. Now, through the partnership with ENGIE, an additional 5,245 scholarships will be awarded. In total, more than 6,490 people have already been impacted by Cubos Academy’s scholarship granting actions.
