In the Cuban capital, a conga was held in support of the rights of people who belong to the LGTBIQ+ community. The march, which had not been held since 2018 due to the pandemic and other events that affected the country, was attended by authorities from the Communist Party of Cuba and the Government in Havana, as well as officials from the Ministry of Public Health.

Under the motto “For all families, love is Law”, the conga supported the approval of the Family Code, considered by Mariela Castro Espín, director of the National Center for Sexual Education of Cuba (Cenesex), as the most advanced in the world on family law issues.

The Vice Minister of Public Health, Carilda Peña, highlighted the initiatives promoted by her portfolio to support LGTBIQ+ people and their full social inclusion.
