CSMMP meets again this week. Mota Liz may return to the list – news

The Superior Council of Magistracy of the Public Ministry will meet once more this week to propose new names for Attorney and Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, following the current PGR, Pitta Gróz, made the position available last week.

According to the CSMMP document, in possession of the Kianda’s mailthe body proposed to the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the reappointment of the current prosecutor and president of the CSMMP, for a five-year term.

This decision came following the Council meeting, on the 16th of December, in which four names were also proposed for the posts of Deputy Attorney General of the Republic and 1st Vice-President of the CSMMP, and in the list, the name of the current Deputy -PGR, Luís de Assunção Pedro da Mota Liz, was not included.

As I learned the Kianda’s mailPitta Gróz reportedly said during the meeting that the President of the Republic would have advised that it be so, as well as instructed that it be reappointed.

Although Pitta Gróz made the position available, according to him, with an age limit, the source we have been quoting confided to us that the gesture was guided by João Lourenço, for having given the president an order “which was not true ”.

O Kianda’s mail I also learned that the most likely name to take office is Inocência Pinto, who at the last meeting of the CSMMP, received the majority of votes for Deputy Attorney General of the Republic.
